This is a pic my ugly self and my beautiful bushmaster .223 (I used a poster filter to give it a grainy look). I did not like the M-16A1 when I was issued them in the army, they were unreliable and that is the very worst attribute you can have in a military firearm!
The Bushmaster is fairly hi dollar but still a mid range .223. Not too long ago I would of bought a AK 7.62 and accessorized it or bought another weapon with what I would of saved. But a friend let me borrow his modified M-16A1 (non full auto) and encouraged me to shoot a few hundred rounds through it. At the time I had a modified paratrooper style SKS .308 and thought I was a pretty good shot with iron sights and bad eyes at battle field ranges 100-300 meters. To make a long story short I was much more accurate with the .223 after *cof* a couple of months and at least a couple thousand rounds! (I like the buffer assembly in the stock as well its wonderful for staying on target when shooting fast). Now I can hit anything I can see at 100 meters most days.
I sold my SKS and bought the dissipater model of bushmaster, it has a chrome action, bore and many improvements. The barrel is only 16” but is heavy and resistant to heat build up. It has replaced my .308 fetish (hehe) because I can carry about a third more ammo for the same weight too. Anyway what do you all think ?

Its better to speak your mind face to face even if you have brought edged weapon to a gun fight. Of course who knows what you have under that cape?
; }>
This is the Bushmaster locked and loaded with Teflon .233 in a 40 round clip. Actually I like the 30 round clips better because they are much easier to use when in a prone position, in any case if you need more than 30 rounds , you better have some back up close.
This is a photograph of getting ready to zero in the Master' that tiny white thing is a 12"x 11" target. I am shooting at the spray can cap to the right sitting on the post. Oh pay no attention to the beer its Bogie's the Basset hound's as acting range master he makes the rules.
The last photo shows the urban kit with one of my favs the mossy 12 ga and a .45 Springfield armory, with a useless drum mag, but I like its psychological effect, what isn't shown is my carry .38 smith featherweight (its in my back pocket (hee hee) loaded with hand loaded 129 grain sp's semi full jacked hollow points, only five but more than that should be overkill, a bayonet for the bushmaster a .22 semi auto Rem food rifle , but those tiny hair like little razor shards from .22 hollow points are deadly. I have a mossy 835 full cammo pump that I will most likely trade to help pay for the 100 round drum mag and bi pod and another upper for the bushmaster...(longer heavier barrel much for sustained fire).....I am ranting now I suppose.... drooling and *twitch*....**jerk** ...I get like that when I talk fine weaponry ...
Have a good nite' and a 'peace though superior firepower' brother.

I like Bushmasters. Solid gun, and a reputable company. Its funny, because I was thinking of heading out this morning to the gun shop and see if they still have one available.
I'm not into taking pics of my guns, but I have a pic of one I built - an AK.

This sounds like a good photo op to me. I'm gonna have to trick you into holding mine and snap a pic real quick...
And for the record I have some "real" guns too. Different tools for different tasks you know. _________________ www.myspace.com/mitunnelrat |

lol,
I did say I also have some real guns, my crowning achievement being the acquisition of a Remington 700 SPS-V in .308. I've wanted one for 4 years and been actively looking for one for the past two. I have it on layaway as we speak.

Luckily I'm paring down my overall collection which will alleviate some of the cost, considering I've got 3 months _________________ www.myspace.com/mitunnelrat |

Well, I don't have too many "spare" guns, but that does lead me to a question. I have brass from range pickups and trades that I won't use personally, and won't want to haul 2,000 miles if its not useful there.
.40 Short & Weak (S&W) = 150 mixed headstamp
56 Speer; 62 CBC; 19 S&B; 6 R-P; 7 Hornady
.357 Magnum = 100
50 PMC; 50 Fiocchi
8mm Mauser
20 R-P Corelokt (once fired, my brass); 7 surplus casings, 1945 headstamp
I'm going to guess any .45 brass is welcome? I only have 3 right now that I picked up when gathering my 9mm brass, but I can keep any eye out.
I may come up with some other things that I'll bring up as I find them, otherwise I may wait to discuss it in person. _________________ www.myspace.com/mitunnelrat |

Ok, I'll dispose of the .40 locally and keep an eye out for .45 and the others. _________________ www.myspace.com/mitunnelrat |

rifle cases i load include 8mm mauser, .30-06, .30 carbine, 5.56, 7.5x55, 7.62x39 and .308. i'm also thinking about getting dies for 7.62x54r. of course, any other rifle brass would be welcome also as i can likely trade it to someone for what i need. _________________ Deovendickia
