Hi everyone. As I mentioned already I've been having some vehicle difficulties lately, the front end of my Bronco needs to be replaced and is expensive. Its not dire yet, but the headlights began cutting out one night too, and I leave work at 11p. My solution was to buy a small car, a 1994 Ford Aspire for just under the repair cost of my truck. To make a long story short, it also needed some front end repairs, but due to vehicle type I thought it would be cheaper to fix, and when done my total cost would equal or be just above the Bronco repair. My Bronco gets 12 mpg, the car is rated for over 30, it seemed like a good idea. it wasn't. The car i's a discontinued model and has almost no aftermarket parts, so total repair was estimated at $1800 for parts and labor.
I can live with that, I don' t like i t, but I can live with it for the increased mileage and dependability these cars are reviewed with. Its just going to take a few weeks to get the money together.
First Praise: I'm still employed and positioned to accommodate these setbacks.
Rather than continuing to impose on friends and family as I had through the entire month of January to get me back and forth to work, I decided to drive the car until I had enough money saved to get it fixed. Here's where I'm really thankful:
On this Wednesday, the front drivers tire broke free of its mounts, rods and all of its connectors except one. I was doing about 15 mph on an empty, private road at work when it all let go. The car was easy to control and get stopped. Five minutes before that I was doing 55 mph on the busiest road in my area. Traffic was non-stop in the oncoming lane and I had several other vehicles behind me. My family and friends believe that "someone" must have been looking out for me, and I have to agree. it was a sobering realization of just how dangerous my situation was.
I have stopped now, these past several days, and thanked the Lord for keeping me and the others near me safe that day. _________________ www.myspace.com/mitunnelrat |

Someone was looking out for you. Praise God!
Praise HIM too that you are still employed and able to handle the setbacks.
So many in my area are out of work or losing hours.
mitunnelrat, great to have you back here. |

The same is true here. I am extremely grateful for the job I have and the seniority I've been gaining over the past few years.
Thank you for the welcome back. _________________ www.myspace.com/mitunnelrat |

Praising God with you , my friend...
I am also still working even though every week, it seems , someone else is getting laid off.... I think it's really only because God is looking after me that I am still here and have my bosses defending me and keeping me working.
I believe!! _________________
