Just an FYI, especially for those of you with the knowledge and the power to put block lists on firewalls, routers or content filters.

The following sites will add spyware, trojan horses, viruses, etc onto your computer. Unfortunately the sites being used are misspellings of popular sites. the last 3 sites on the list are a couple of the download sites that the other sites use. (hope that makes sense!) Just replace the word 'dot' with '.' below to know the URL.
Anyhow, this info was grepped from
http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/googkle.shtml

and

http://isc.sans.org/

Here are the VERY BAD SITES

wwwdotmsnmdotcom

wwwdotluycosdotcom

wwwdotmsn1dotcom

Anyone new to computers may want to kill off Norton and install Avast it is free and is one of the only virus scanners able to find win32 virus. and also will STOP the Trojans and things from web browsing.

www.avast.com and you can download the free home edition there.

Well I have been fighting a battle for days now with a trojan horse "Agent Zak" that replaced my screen backround at startup. I have AVG and Adaware as well as spybot, search and destroy.

I just finaly deleted the files with spybot, seems like a good program. My problem now is my tool bar went from being at the bottom of the screen to being at the right hand side and went from horizontal to being vertical, that should be as clear as mud.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET IT BACK TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN VERTICALLY?

Thanks in advance!

Jim_bo

EDITED TO ADD:

My problems started with a download from a site to get an adobe flash player, it required to turn off my anti-spyware, boy am I gullible! grin . The trojan came in as "Antivirus XP" and opened my popup blocker without my knowledge.

dennis, right click the bar and uncheck 'lock tool bar'. next, left click and hold on the bar and drag it to where you want it. don't forget to lock it again when you're done.
