Hello friends...
Sorry for my very long absence.
As you know, my son was in a very bad accident the end of June.
The morning of my son's accident I had stopped at my mom's doctors...
I told them she was getting confused a lot lately.
Well... after several tests and 2 months later, the doctor has officially diagnosed her with Alzheimer's. It is coming on pretty fast. He started her on 2 Alzheimer's meds...aricept and Namenda.
She will be moving in with us just as soon as we do a remodel, which we start on this week.
I am the one who does all of the care at this point for her, so it leaves me little time for anything else.
I will try to be here more. :( |

i'm so sorry sis. you might want to ask the doctor about the benefits of nicotine for treating the disease.
come in when you can and know that you are in our prayers.

Just trying to make peace with this diagnoses...
As far as the nicotine treatment goes, my mom smokes. lol
I don't think it's helping with the Alzheimer's. :hap:
(I have to keep my sense of humor or I will go mad! lol) |

Thanks Jodi and CFI. Prayers are always welcome. Terry says he's really happy that I came into his life....guess it really does help to have me around, even though I can't do a whole bunch yet, other than try to encourage him and just be with him when he needs me.. .

I haven't been here because I lost all my bookmarks... and then my password wouldn't work. 
anyway......
Things are going better.
My son is healing very nicely from his accident...
and I am getting down a better routine with my Mom.
She will be moving in with us very soon. |
